What is the reason why the electric hoist suddenly stops working when in use?

Time:2022.05.17

First consider the poor contact of the busbar. When the electric hoist passes through the interface of the busbar, the electric hoist often stops suddenly. In severe cases, the motor will be burned due to phase loss. Some electric hoist contact wire models are DHG-4-16/DHG-4-15. This busbar is in a specially formulated semi-enclosed engineering plastic conduit, and is embedded with a multi-pole copper guide rail with an insulating slot plate as a power transmission busbar. Due to factors such as the quality of the busbar and the on-site environment, the plastic shell of the busbar is fragile and severely deformed during transportation and installation, which increases the difficulty of installing the busbar. The interface between the imported chain conveyor busbar and the busbar is prone to misalignment, resulting in poor contact and phase loss or power failure when the collector passes through the interface, and the electric hoist stops suddenly.

The next consideration is the collector. The collector model is: JD-4-40S/JD-4-60, with a built-in spring to support the sliding carbon brush to contact the sliding wire. Due to environmental factors such as heavy rain in coastal areas and high air humidity, the spring is prone to rust and fail, resulting in poor contact between the carbon brush and the sliding wire. There is a chamfer at the position of the carbon brush contact. When the carbon brush passes through the uneven sliding wire interface, the electric hoist has a small inertia, and the carbon brush contact cannot successfully pass through the interface, resulting in poor contact of one phase of the collector.

Then consider the use of electric hoists. When electric hoists are used improperly for lifting equipment, various crooked and slanted lifting will occur. The electric hoist is tilted due to force, driving the collector to deviate from the normal track, resulting in poor contact between the collector and the sliding wire, and lack of phase or open circuit, causing the electric hoist to stop suddenly. In severe cases, the motor is often burned due to lack of phase.

In order to eliminate the poor condition of the collector and the sliding wire, we first reinforce the interface position of the sliding wire to ensure the flatness of the interface as much as possible; secondly, replace the rusted spring of the collector, and polish the carbon brush contact to make the contact smoother, eliminate the gap caused by the uneven interface of the sliding wire, and ensure that the contact can effectively contact the copper guide rail of the sliding wire. Finally, strengthen the technical explanation of electric hoist users and use the electric hoist correctly and in a standardized manner.
