New Product Release - Yale Cryogenic Products are ready to go!

Time:2024.06.06

After adapting to the scorching heat of 40℃ and the severe cold of -20℃, is your equipment still unfamiliar with the extreme low temperature of -40℃? Please follow the editor to pay attention to Yale low-temperature products, learn more about the details of low-temperature hoists, and under what circumstances you need to choose extreme low-temperature products of -40℃.

Extreme low temperature application environment

Generally, low-temperature industrial products are usually applied in the northern regions of the world, such as Norway, Sweden, Finland, Greenland, etc. In actual applications, there are also many working environments below -20℃ that require the use of material handling products.

Construction and mechanical industries
Oil and gas exploration and production
Wind power
Cryogenic laboratories
Commercial fishing
Other low temperature environments

For example, cable car assembly or maintenance work in cold mountainous areas, cold storage, oil and gas exploration and production in the North and Baltic Seas, or exterior assembly and maintenance work in the construction industry in cold regions can be exposed to extreme temperatures. In all these areas, cranes must operate safely in extreme temperatures to minimize potential dangers to personnel and resources and to ensure efficient work. Choosing the right crane and hoist is crucial for the operator. If the hoist is not selected appropriately, expensive equipment damage, personal injury and loss of productivity due to failure of the handling equipment may occur.

Why choose low temperature products?

Although general high-quality lifting equipment has used high-quality and reliable engineering materials and designed safety factors, it is worth noting that after verification in some specific industries, many materials will change related properties at extremely low temperatures, such as fractures, which cannot be foreseen by users. Therefore, if the lifting equipment needs to work at extreme temperatures, special materials and accessories must be selected. For example, the lubricating oil used in the hoist must be suitable for low temperature environments, otherwise the safety performance of the hoist will be impaired.

CMCO’s low-temperature products are coming

CMCO’s standard hoist products are suitable for temperatures ranging from -20°C to +50°C! The ARCTIC EDITION series hoists use special materials and lubricants, and have been tested and certified through a carefully designed low-temperature test program, including functional stress testing, endurance testing, breaking strength testing and impact testing. In addition to static tests, ARCTIN EDITION products are also subjected to dynamic low temperature tests to exclude mechanical and material failures.

Therefore, ARCTIC EDITION hoists can withstand low temperature environments and can be stored or used in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +50°C and meet the highest safety standards in a temperature range of -40°C to +50°C.
